Nong Poy underwent gender-affirming surgery at age 17 and went on to win both Miss Tiffany’s Universe and Miss International Queen in 2004 at age 19. She transitioned into acting with notable roles in Hong Kong blockbusters including The White Storm (2013) alongside Andy Lau, and From Vegas to Macau II (2015) with Chow Yun-fat. She has appeared in the Thai horror film Witch Doctor (2016) and numerous other productions.
