HOW DID Caitlin Clark become famous?

Caitlin became nationally famous at Iowa, where her logo-range three-pointers and high-volume scoring made appointment viewing out of college basketball. She finished as the NCAA Division I all-time scoring leader before the Indiana Fever selected her first overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft; she then won WNBA Rookie of the Year.

Caitlin’s Iowa years are closely connected with Kate Martin, a longtime teammate and friend who later reached the WNBA herself. In Indiana, Caitlin developed an important backcourt and pick-and-roll partnership with Aliyah Boston, while repeated matchups with stars such as Angel Reese helped bring enormous attention to a new generation of professional women’s basketball.

Personal LIFE and Relationship

Caitlin comes from a close athletic family and has two brothers. She has been publicly in a relationship with Connor McCaffery, a former Iowa basketball player who later moved into coaching.
