Angel became a household name during LSU’s run to the 2023 NCAA championship, where she was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player. Drafted seventh overall in 2024, she immediately became one of the WNBA’s elite rebounders and set multiple rookie and league rebounding milestones.

CLOSE WITH (ASSOCIATED)

Angel’s LSU championship run is inseparable from coach Kim Mulkey and teammates such as Flau’jae Johnson. Her competitive history with Caitlin Clark also became one of the most discussed storylines in women’s basketball, although both players have repeatedly existed as far more than a manufactured two-person rivalry as their professional careers developed.

Personal LIFE and Relationship

Angel comes from a basketball family: her mother played college basketball, and her younger brother Julian Reese also became a high-level player. Her dating life has attracted attention, including a past relationship with basketball player Cam’Ron Fletcher, but she has generally kept current relationship details on her own terms. Fashion, business, family, and her outspoken confidence are as central to her public identity as basketball.
