HOW DID Arica Himmel become famous?

Arica’s breakthrough came when she was cast as young Rainbow Johnson in ABC’s Mixed-ish. The role placed her at the center of a Black-ish spin-off exploring race, family, and identity through the childhood of the character Tracee Ellis Ross made famous.

BEFORE THE FAME

Born and raised in New York City, Arica began acting on stage and made her off-Broadway debut in The Layover at age 11. She later appeared on screen before Mixed-ish gave her a leading television role while she was still in her early teens.

Personal LIFE and Relationship

Arica is the daughter of singer-songwriter Zelma Davis and Brandon Himmel, and her older sister Zoe has also acted.
