BEFORE THE FAME

Born in Hackensack and raised in New Jersey before moving to Texas for gymnastics, Hezly entered the sport after attending a friend’s birthday party at a gymnastics facility. Staff noticed her potential and encouraged her parents to let her try the team, beginning a path that eventually led to WOGA and elite competition.

CLOSE WITH (ASSOCIATED);

Hezly’s first Olympic experience placed her alongside icons Simone Biles, Sunisa Lee, and Jordan Chiles, giving a teenage gymnast the rare chance to learn inside one of the most accomplished U.S. teams ever assembled. At WOGA, she has also trained under Valeri Liukin, connecting her development to one of America’s best-known gymnastics programs.

Personal LIFE and Relationship

Hezly is the daughter of Henry and Heidy Rivera and has siblings, including a sister who has appeared in family content. She is still a teenager, so romantic speculation does not belong in a responsible biography. Faith, family, school, training at WOGA, and the unusual experience of becoming an Olympic champion before high-school graduation are much more meaningful parts of her personal story.
