HOW BIG IS Yazmin Lacey ON THE NET?

Yazmin’s audience has developed through streaming, BBC radio support, live performance, playlists, and word of mouth rather than a giant influencer-style following. Voice Notes and Late Night People strengthened her international profile while preserving the intimate scale that makes her music appealing.

HOW DID Yazmin Lacey become famous?

Yazmin began gaining attention after moving to Nottingham and entering the city’s creative scene. EPs including Black Moon, When the Sun Dips 90 Degrees, and Morning Matters built her reputation before her 2023 debut album Voice Notes. Late Night People followed in 2025.

BEFORE THE FAME

Born in London, Yazmin moved to Nottingham as a young adult and did not originally arrive with a carefully mapped music career. Encouragement from musicians and friends in the local scene pushed her toward performing and writing, allowing her artistry to develop organically rather than through childhood industry training.

CLOSE WITH (ASSOCIATED);

Yazmin has worked within Nottingham and London’s jazz, soul, and alternative communities, collaborating with musicians who value live feel and groove over overly polished production. Her work has naturally shared audiences with British artists such as Jordan Rakei, whose listeners often gravitate toward the same jazz-informed soul space.

Personal LIFE and Relationship

Yazmin has Jamaican heritage and has discussed how family, community, food, and ordinary conversations shape her creative perspective. She tends to keep romantic life private and avoids turning herself into a celebrity character outside the songs. Reliable public sources do not consistently confirm her exact birth date, so it is left unconfirmed here.
