HOW BIG IS Samara Weaving ON THE NET?

Samara has approximately 1.88 million Instagram followers as of late September 2026. Her following has been growing alongside renewed attention from Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, while horror fans, fashion audiences, and viewers discovering her earlier work keep her online presence active between releases.

HOW DID Samara Weaving become famous?

Samara gained early recognition as Indi Walker on Home and Away before moving into international productions. The Babysitter and Mayhem built genre credibility, while Ready or Not made her a recognizable horror lead. She has since appeared in Scream VI, Azrael, Borderline, and the Ready or Not sequel.

BEFORE THE FAME

Born in Adelaide, Samara spent parts of her childhood in Singapore, Fiji, and Indonesia before returning to Australia. She performed in dance and youth theater and comes from a creative family that includes her uncle, actor Hugo Weaving, although she built her own career first through television.

CLOSE WITH (ASSOCIATED)

Samara’s career has created fun connections across generations of genre film. She worked with Hugo Weaving, her famous uncle, in Mystery Road, starred opposite Adam Brody in Ready or Not, and has moved through ensembles ranging from Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri to Scream VI. Those choices helped her escape the box of being known only as a former soap actress.

Personal LIFE and Relationship

Samara married writer and producer Jimmy Warden in 2019 after the pair met while working on The Babysitter, and they have since welcomed a child. She also comes from an unusually artistic family: her father Simon Weaving is a filmmaker, her sister Morgan is an actress, and Hugo Weaving is her uncle. Even with that background, Samara has largely kept her marriage and family life away from constant public exposure.
