BEFORE THE FAME

Victoria was born in Charlotte to Congolese parents Cyprien Mboko and Godee Kitadi, then moved to the Toronto area as a baby. She was the youngest of four tennis-playing siblings and picked up a racquet around age three or four because she did not want to be left out while they played.

Her professional development has also included guidance from experienced coaches within Tennis Canada, while her Montreal run placed her directly against champions such as Naomi Osaka and Coco Gauff.

Personal LIFE and Relationship

Victoria’s parents left the Democratic Republic of the Congo before building their family life in North America, and she has spoken warmly about her Congolese heritage and her mother’s cooking. Her three older siblings remain an important support system. At this stage of her career, family, cultural identity, and tennis development are more relevant than speculation about dating.
